Fraud SCAM Fraud Claimed to be from Vodaphone, said that an attempt to change my account number had been flagged up, called my number to verify with an old address (first flag) Second flag was when I asked if I could have a verification email I received a what amounted to a "yes but hurry up and give me the number" And of course, when I received a recovery/account change text, the first words of said text were DO NOT TELL ANYONE THIS NUMBER, POLICE OR VODAPHONE EMPLOYEES INCLUDED. I’ve just been called from this number claiming to be my credit card fraud check. It mentions two extremely high transactions, not made by me, then to press 1 to authorise or 2 to talk to customer service. I didn’t, I hung up, checked all my cards. No transaction has been attempted. This is a scam call.
Claimed to be from currys PC World but hung up Would say this was more dangerous than annoying based on another review. Obviously a scam caller and could easily be believed by an older or vulnerable person.

I have been called several times yesterday back to back from firstly a London number twice, then twice from private number and this one today. They all start by saying am I ****** when I ask who they are they mumble something then ask me if I own or rent my property. The person who called today was female and I could actually understand what she said, except for the initial mumble. The first two London calls where listed as suspected spam, however, some of calls in this category have been bona fide.
Suspected scam related to funding house purchase, claimed to have been asked to contact me by estate agent. Message came via WhatsApp then text.
VEry bad line, "indian" accent. sounded like some sort of insurance scam. I have had several calls this week from 3 numbers that differ only in last 3 digits.

Automated message claiming to be from Amazon Prime about charging my renewal to a Visa credit card. Asked me to press 1 or 2 for customer services. I hung up and checked my Amazon account. My subscription doesn't expire until July and I don't have a Visa card registered with Amazon. Clearly a scam.
Didn't answer as didn't recognise the number and no message was left.

I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! Phoned out blue, saying following up a previous enquiry I’d made once about investments. Said not a sales call but called themselves ?BT Marketing? I’m currently looki at investments. So let the call run. Pleasant polite lady. Asked if they could pass my details onto a tech investment firm, to send me more info. I felt extra info may be useful, so gave permission. However, contact info they had for me was a very old email address. She reassured me they would not pass my details to anyone else. (We’ll see).
