The companies don’t "get" your number, they just block-dial numbers until they get a ring tone so TPS and ex-directory numbers do not offer any protection.

PPI company. I asked them to stop calling me. The caller proceeded to argue with me as she said that she has never called me before. I have reported to information commissioner.

Called me over and over, fed up with these calls, so annoying!!! Blocked number now. So insistant and pushy.

He opened the call...dont worry I am not selling Gas or electric. He then went on to ask if I wanted to sell my business. I said, if you had done your research properly you would see that I am not the owner, only a director. Head office overseas own it. He still argued with me, anyway on closing teh call I told him to wake up. he was the most NON dynaic person I have ever spoken to on the phone. Sounded like he was being forced to make these calls straight from school

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. this number called me today. i ask them to remove my number their system and the person on the other end would not listen and kept saying he had new for me etc. i told him repeatedly i was not interested but again did not hear me....i had to hang up eventually
