I never answer my phone whilst at work unless I know who is calling I have blocked this number from my phone several times over the last few months but for some reason it keeps getting through!
SCAM Claimed she was "'Yennifer' from 'Wirgin' media technical department"! Woman had very 'thick' 'Indian'-style accent. She said "oh, oh, oh," when I said I was busy & I would ring Virgin later. She'd done the "How are you this morning?", like a lot of the phone scams do. Nothing was said about security questions! Suspect this was another scam call.

I contacted this company on behalf of my mum. I explained that I had an agreement with the energy supplier to clear the outstanding bill before the 14th of September. The debt collecting company then called the supplier and they said yes the agreement is in place. Indian scammers now have the facility to send information to your phone that displays a different number to where they are phoning from. Hence this number does not belong to the scum trying to tel me they are from Amazon and have that I have just been charged for an Iphone 7 for £350 which has been deducted from my bank account. Total rubbish of course as they just want you to give them your bank account details.

Had a call at approximately 11.10pm that sounded fraudulent. Have a close relative in hospital with a severe heart condition so have been waiting by the phone for urgent news of their status. We have never had a call of this nature on our landline or at this hour and due to the circumstances it has caused enormous and unnecessary distress. Overwhelmed as i write this.

Called to say from MBNA and that there was a problem with the account. Indian (asian) voice. Wife was very rude to him. The number that came up was the same as the MBNA help line number with extra 2 added at the end. Called MBNA - very helpful - no they had not contacted us. MBNA say they always text before ringing and only speak to main account holder.

An older person may fall for this, it is pretty frightening.

SCAM Started with an automated message informing me that two transactions have taken place on a Visa debit card for varying amounts. Press "1" to approve, press "2" if I dont know. Pressed 2 out of curiosity and was transferred to a man asking for the reason of the call. I repeat the message I received and he then repeats the transaction amounts (obviously reading from a script). Asked him which bank this account was associated with (which he obviously doesn't know).
