This number is from AO.COM (Appliances on Line) and is likley to be with regard to a recent purchase and/or expired warranty of an applicance such as a Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing Machine etc. They will try to sell you an extened warranty etc

Had this number call me loads and when I finally picked up they asked me about my accident and my scrapped car (they knew the exact model) when I said "I m sorry but I can only speak to my legal team or to people they ve told me I can speak to" she hung up mid sentence so guess that was a scam

Definitely a scam call. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to a caller. NEVER RETURN A CALL and NEVER ...

They call me similar to the one above about an accident that I have done, which never happened!

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. This is I believe a Manchester UK Local area number left on my 1471 record. I do not recognise the number. On the tellows lokup, it comes up as an Indian number. I ll notify you if it calls again. The captcha looked like diw64, the d was mistaken for a p in the distorted image.
