Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. When I told him I don't have a policy he asked if I'd cancelled it and I told him I had and that I don't need life insurance. He immediately told me to have a good day and hung up. I got a call from "John", he was from (he paused to remember who he was) Virgin Media. I hung up,
Scam, automated call supposedly from Amazon Prime about the subscription..., goes on to say press 1 for... press 2 for..., yeah, like I am touching anything other than end call and blocking it, anyone who presses a number on the keypad according to such directions will undoubtably transfer you to a premium phone number costing £X's per minute, or some other way to scam money from you, ask yourself, would a multinational company be phoning from a normal phone code?
Had three calls from this number. Supposedly Amazon saying I owe £96 for an expired Prime membership. Never used Prime. Checked with Amazon who have never requested this fee.
They claiming to be medical council UK. Asking about the service, covid vaccines. Sounded a bit dodgy to me when he started asking about service that never was performed in my medical history. My advice don't give any personal details.

Automated voice just says dear customer and transaction of over £900 on your visa card then ask you to press 1 to cancel its a scam they don't even call you by name.
Beware of possible malicious of Fraudsters trying to call you. I answered this call on my phone but no one replied on the other end when i said Hello. 01560 485445 This number has now been permanently blocked on my phone. Don't answer unless you know for definite who is calling you. Just my advice.

Awaiting callback from my GP when this call came. Male caller talked about a free medical emergency pendant, but implied that there was a paid membership. It increasingly sounded like a sales call and I couldn't really see how this related to my medical issue. He asked about my willingness to give a testimonial, talking about medical response times, peace of mind for family - I was becoming further mystified as to why I was being called. Suspicious.
Call several times, over two day. Answer service activated with no message left just the sound of a call handling agency. Reason to believe call is not legit.

Went on to ask me to press '2' to cancel the transactions, so I hung up and checked the phone number out. It is unobtainable and has no ratings with you so I wrote this one. Take care.
