SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.

Probably a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. Just block the number if you have the facility.

SCAM / SPAM Received text purporting to be from Paypal stating" PayPal:Your account has been restricted due to a failed payment. Olease Login at https://Paypal.usersecurity-ref018.com?p=4 to remove any pending restrictions" Of course I did not respond but simply forwarded the message and number to my service provide on 7726 who state they will log it and investogate. My paypal account remains unaffected.

He opened the call...dont worry I am not selling Gas or electric. He then went on to ask if I wanted to sell my business. I said, if you had done your research properly you would see that I am not the owner, only a director. Head office overseas own it. He still argued with me, anyway on closing teh call I told him to wake up. he was the most NON dynaic person I have ever spoken to on the phone. Sounded like he was being forced to make these calls straight from school
