lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. When you answer your phone and if it s a number you don t recognise, DON T SPEAK JUST LISTEN! Wait for the caller to speak first and then decide whether to simply put the phone down. If it s a recorded message, it ll nearly always be a scam or a computer dialling a batch of numbers in sequence and trying to assertain if the number they have just dialled is a voice line. i.e. a private phone number. Yes, l got a call from this number to say that l had been involved in a car accident. I said l hadn t, but asked who had informed them l had. She said the RTA so when l asked where the accident was, surprisingly the line went dead. Feeling bloody annoyed l called the number back, but it just said it was invalid. Not happy.
