Claimed to be from Sky, I don't have sky so I spent a lot of time asking if they were going to supply me with Sky so that I could take advantage of their services & I insisted that it had to be supplied free. The oriental sounding lady really didn't get it. Eventually she asked if I had Sky & I replied that since she was from Sky I must have or she wouldn't be calling, but just now I couldn't remember what I'd done with it. She gave up.
This probably isn't safe - the caller didn't even know or ask for my name, simply saying 'it's about breakdown insurance'. Laughable.

SCAM Pretending to be Amzon saying that an order has been placed on my account with a couple of phone options. I just hung up but I assume if you choose the options you will either be charged for something or go through to someone who will try and get your account details. Checked my amazon (on a different device) no orders placed - so this is defiantly a scam. I've been getting a lot of random calls recently so assume my number managed to make it onto a dodgy list somewhere.

SCAM07895 949331 – received call to an EX Directory BT landine at 10.04 Hrs am 12/5/2021. I answered & they hung up. Telefonica UK Ltd appear to be the issuing party for the No. The No. appears to be from Guandzha being part of the Russian Federation using Telefonica to piggyback a free ride in to peoples homes using the 02 network. Costs: landline to mobile either 6p or 32p per min & 3p and 40p per min between mobiles.

Much like the other reviews, my 83 year old Grandmother was called and told the warranty on her boiler had run out and that they needed to take payment to renew it. No explanation of who they were etc. Reported it as fraud to her bank but also called to cancel policy and ask for full refund. Worried now that this may not be honoured after reading other posts. Awful, underhand, dishonest sales tactics. Bet they re laughing all the way to the bank.
