This number sent a link from EE saying my payment had bounced. It had a very credible link to an EE log in. It then asked for card details and I became suspicious. I shut it down and Looked at my EE account through my app. The account payment was fine.
When I called the number back (from 1471) no-one answered - There was a pre-recorded message saying "Invalid option - try again" so do not know who they are, but likley to be an "undesirable"

Recorded female voice claiming to be from HMRC stating that a writ had been filed against me and that I needed to call back on another number to avoid additional consequences. Sounded very authentic except that HMRC are unlikely to call anyone at 1030 on a Saturday morning! Would be very frightening for a vulnerable person. Clearly a scam

Do not call them back whoever it is - you will pay for it. Tell me why companies still use payed lines for telemarketing (some other reason than scam?)...
