Received a call this morning from this number, supposedly from HMRC. I realised it was a scam immediately and dropped. It would be unusual for HMRC to place automated “robotic” calls.

Carphone warehouse sales rep - very rude. When asked to remove my number from the contact list the guy replies "no you'll be receiving a call back every 5 minutes for next next hour". Absolutely awful.

However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. It really does get my goat to keep on getting these unsolicited phone calls under false pretences. I too received a call from this number asking me to contact them regarding my T-mobile account. Enough is enough!

NEVER call these numbers back. They are spoofed by the scammers and are not calls from the UK. If you call them back, you may get caught for a large call charge.
