After getting a couple of quotes which weren t appealing at all, i decided to have a look online in which i found some much better prices. online. Back again, they phoned my mobile yesterday and today my landline. Local garage had my contact numbers 2 years ago when I bought a car. In the past has just been postal advertising. The number is in Runcorn so misrepresentation of fact! Answered the phone with what are you selling, told them not to phone again as I don t want to buy a car. Must be a call centre in Runcorn, annoyed that local garage has sold or is using contact details for reasons beyond the original sale!!!

18 Oct 2021 - Fraud, claims to be HMRC and threatens suspension of national insurance number, is spoofed from one of the numbers from bristol county court (council civil court not a magistrates court as far as I am aware but maybe I'm wrong), it is not a number for any of the normal departments but instead it is for the Listings department. 1000% scammers committing the worst kind of fraud.Reply

I think this is a boiler room operation, touting for investment. Even after you tell them where to get off, they still call back many times. A boiler room operation is one which hypes "investments" which probably don t exist and you lose your money. Worryingly they knew my name.
Caller claimed to be working with BT to save us money on our BT bill. She was obviously lying as we don t use BT. Became aggressive when I refused to say who we did buy telephone service from. I suspect it s some type of scam.
