SCAM Automated message alleging to be Amazon saying purchase of iPhone11 for £1100 has been made through my account. Press 1 to confirm this was me or 2 to speak to an operator. Pressed 2 to be transferred to an offshore call centre to be asked by a chirpy lady how I am this morning. Told her to be honest I was a bit p*ssed off to be woken so early on a Saturday morning for a scam. She hung up on me.

Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.

I got this number today,but didn t answer, and just got office background noise on the answer machine. This is despite only having changed my landline number a couple of weeks ago (because of many such scamming and harassment calls).I went ex directory and only let a few friends know the new number. Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. I said im sorry this doesn t sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address.
