They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. Now using 0161 850 1033 same story,they and others pressurisng my wife to make a claim following a minor car accident 2 years ago. I grabbed the phone and told them to drop it I would be taking action. Reported to ICO.org.uk and blocked the number. My business suffered through fraudulent claims and people need to make a stand against these parasites

I couldn t sit at a desk with a headset on being told to get lost (or worse) 100 s of times a day. Still, it s a job I suppose but I d rather be unemployed than lower myself to this sort of thing!

Claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse offering me great deals on mobile contracts and phone with a very strong Indian accent. I let him babble on and on and when he's finished, I let him repeat the details by asking further questions. After that I told him that I'll get my mistress to go through the details and call back. He then gave me a number to call back which was 02036951143 together with his 'Agent ID'. I see that 02036951143 is another of these scamming numbers. Scammers!
