Spam caller saying from Virgin media and i had a problem with my internet connection and tried to get me to give him access to my computer, threatened to disconect my broadband if I didn't do as requested. I refused and phoned Virgin - nothing to do with them
Called and hung up as soon as I answered. I am registered with the TPS so will be reporting them for breaching that.
claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. When I advised I was not at home(despite the fact they had called my landline) heard whispered conversation with a workmate/supervisor,asked to perform the same check on router again I repeated that I was not at home. This number (01733 347007) is from a scammer. The guy claims to be from the fraud department of my bank and someone tried to change my bank account address but couldn't pass the security check. Hence his call to notify me. He knows my name, address, phone number and the bank that I have an account. I only caught it as I asked him about the phone number that he was calling from. I said I will call the bank directly, then he starts swearing, etc. Be aware of the criminals.
