"Virginmedia support department" - about the sixth time they have called since Christmas plus one from Talk-Talk. Told me I had a problem with my router. Complete scammers. I wasted 20 minutes of their time by displaying ignorance of computing and miskeying input. When asked, the first person I spoke to gave his address as 81 Newgate Street London, which is a BT building. I was then passed onto a "supervisor" who gave his address as 179 Harrow road. Its a trustworthy number as its AO.COM. I bought an appliance recently and they were confirming everything. Unfortunately, the guy was persistent on setting up a domestic and general insurance for £7 a month. Annoying as the appliance comes with 2 years warranty. If I wanted D&G warranty i d go to D&G and get it. Please do not cold call customers pushing for the sale of this its unwanted.
Woman with bad English reading from a script. Said she was from british gas and wanted us to give our postcode, account number and meter number. We said no and she said she would ring back. Obviously a dodgy call centre as other people have said other companies and reasons for the call! BLOCKED!!

Swindon Window Centre called my number this morning and they have held my number on a recall system, so that each time I try to ring out, it automatically rings them and charges for each call. Can t delete this, so have to get on to BT.
I was called in response to an advert I had on gumtree, he was telling me he was looking to recruit in my area but now having seen the company website I realise it was a scam to get me to advertise with them. not impressed with deception.

A recorded message saying "This is BT your internet and Lind Line will cease to operate from today - press 1 to speak to an advisor or 2 to clear". This is an old scam which has reared its head again with new numbers. Do not press either button or you will be charged for the call and can be very costly. Block the number immediately.
