Said it was from EE, offering to apply a discount to my account. Not sure about the authenticity of the caller so declined.

Got a call from this number turned out to be part of the carphone warhouse dealing with upgrades very helpful and very well priced would definatly recommend

This is a genuine company based in Newry, who do a range of risk assessments. They are currently doing an asbestos survey in my area for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive

We accepted a call from this company as we were in the process of trying to get a lifeline installed, due to coincidence we ended up with them visiting. Clearly cold-calling/ambulance chasing. Accept at your peril- in person sales technique equally as aggressive and alarmist (no pun intended)!!

I answered this call and it was from a local O2 upgrades team. They explained they had my information as I had opted in to allow marketing calls from O2 but not 3rd parties. I ve since changed to opt out but did upgrade with them as they were very helpful and offered me a really good deal I couldn t get through my local store. Hope this helps others :-)

Caller didn t know who my mobile provider was, but tried to convince me I was entitled to a new phone for free. They hung up when they realised I was not taking the bait.

This number belongs to a Savings and investment company. Was very bad reception on the call but the company name started with the word Scottish. I couldn t make out the rest.

Persistent callers and aggressive when challenged! Very intimidating and seemingly designed for targeting vulnerable individuals. Interchangeable representation whereby company reference/affiliation may differ from call to call.

Claims to be windows tech help, hangs up when questioned

Hi I worked for this company. They buy your details from either the blackmarket or datasets where you have opted in. So if you bought something somewhere online that required your number chances are you inadvertently opted in. They use a network of local numbers to seem reputable. The liverpool branch specialises in road traffic accident. They ll fish about for details asking you that they were informed a car accident was reported by your household within the last 2.5-3 years.
