Told me they were from BT Cyber Security but we are not with BT. Rang Back on 004930268864 and said he had just phoned. I said not with BT but he said he knew but put down the phone. The number rang twice but no message left on answerphone.
The caller introduced as from Revenue and Customs and says there is a tax fraud case registered under my name. The message seemed to be a pre-recorded one. They wanted me to press option numbers but i hung up.

This number has now called 5 times since 23 March. I have found the name of the company ringing. All I will say it is an accident claims company.

My number is not listed and they called my land line AND mobile! Apparently they sent me a letter, but wanted me to confirm my address. I never got anything and had never heard of them before! I told them on both occassions - they called withing 5 minutes on both lines - to take me complete details off their list and stop harrassing me or I would call the authoroties. On my question what it was about why they called they didn t answer. SCAM! They had my name.

saying they are from talktalk and they have "detected problems with my router". Every time they ring the number changes slightly so you can t tell they ve rung before. Repeatedly told him he wasn t available, asked him which company was calling and to remove my number from their list as I was registered with TPS(useless, I know!). Was calling, had all the wrong details about me, was after another name, but then decided they d try with their spiel anyway. Not sure if it s genuine or not, but was trying to get me interested in smart meters for my gas/electric. I told them I was on direct debit and that swiftly ended the call.
