Said they were from Virgin, and that they'd picked up drops in wifi. As I am with virgin I went along with it initially, but it rang warning bells as was to my work internet phone number (working from home atm). They asked if I was owner of number and bill payer of internet phone line, said no it was for work, and where had they got number, and they hung up.

Tries a scam on your phone number. When I blocked the number, started pestering me on face time. I am registered on TPS, never opt in etc. Couple of weeks ago upgraded with Vodafone and then these scam calls all start up again. Ofcom should tackle the source.
Untrustworthy scale - 10! Computer scam! Have been called at least five times in as many days. Different person each time (one time a woman, the rest were men). Some VERY aggressive. Have told them in no uncertain terms (!) that I know it is a scam and that they are NOT calling from Microsoft and requested they never call my number again. After dozens of missed calls from this number - I never answer a number I do not recognise - I rang back the 0207 number and got a recorded message with another number to call to unsubscribe - 0207 619 7888. You need to quote the number they ve called you on and tell them it s Shelter, as they re obviously a telemarketing company with a number of clients. I donated to Shelter by text and since then have been plagued by these calls at all hours. Waiting to see if they re as good as their word...

Asian voice claiming to be called Richard from Global Pension Advisors who knew my name. When he asked me how I was I put the phone down. Reasons...he wasn t called Richard, anybody calling me about pensions is likely to be a scam or at least something I am not vaguely interested in, all scammers seem to "ask how are you today" and my phone is listed with TPS.
