One of many similar calls, third time this week. Same automated female voice telling me that two unauthorized transactions on my Amazon account and an international money order have been made this morning and that I should press one or two on my keypad for further details, I hung up again.
This is a fraudulent scam number claiming to be from the bank. The pre-recorded message states that there has been fraudulent activity on your account.

As I am a Housing Rights Worker for Shelter, I am well aware of how to get repairs actioned. They went silent when I explained this. The caller who had a Chinese accent said they were calling from 3 Mobile to sell me a new i phone or Samsung mobile, or alternatively all inclusive minutes for £6.00 for a SIM only deal and asked me what I was spending each month now. I am with 3 Mobile so I didn't feel inclined to give them that information and hung up.

SCAM I answered the call on my headphones: The caller took some time to speak and said something about O2 Because I was walking with my mobile in my pocket, random numbers were being pressed. The caller called me a bitch and told me not to keep pressing numbers. He continued to call me a bitch and to stop pressing numbers....I was i no hurry, and he was getting more annoyed and abusive. Automated call this call was a recorded message saying about bank security and that transactions have taken place if its not the case to press either 1 or 2. I've had so many of these and know it's a scam. My elderly brother went all the way through to speak to someone and realised at the last minute it was a scam so put the phone down but it worried him so much he rang his bank to make sure everything was alright.
