Called twice in the space of 5 minutes, first time I answered they hung up after I said hello. Second time they asked for me by name, I asked who they were calling on behalf of and they hung up again.

The phone number is one used by Barclays but in my case certainly spoofed as they were after details that Barclays have said they would never ask for over the phone (DoB, Mothers maiden name etc.)

Don't know who called me from this number. I jumped out of bed when the phone rang but I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. It was 7:36 am ffs! Even the sun was still in bed where I live in Greater Manchester and I do't even know where Thanet is, never mind why someone from there would be phoning me at an ungodly hour. This number rang off a couple of minuets of my saying hello ... when I called back it said it was an incorrect number so it does seem to be suspicious.
SCAM - A lady spoke on the phone telling me they were handling the some kind of power checks after the recent gas and electric crisis. She started on some kind of lengthy spiel about the crisis and how they could help us determine our usage and ho to save us money. When I stopped her and asked her which company she was from she hung-up immediately.
