He said I d joined thier service in August 2015...I hadn t joined anything like that, so i knew it was a scam. He said in November (I think he said the 8th) my 2nd year with them will start. Clearly this is a nuisance and most certainly is unsolicited. Whilst the number appears to be a Manchester number clearly it is not. An elderly family member had a call from this number and in no way could understand the Asian caller. It is probably a fake number. When they ask if I have been in an accident recently my usual answer is to say "You tell me you seem to know". To the contributor who asked what 00 means in front of the number it is simply the first 2 digits you would dial when calling

Received automated calls on land line (which also identified my name ) about fraudulent use of debit card and asking me to press any button to run checks. I didn't do this and instead called my bank from a different phone (in case of phone scam). BoS confirmed it was not them. Sounds like a scam to me where if you press a button on your phone when on the automated call it holds the line open and the fraudster will be on the other end of the line when you think you are actually calling your bank and getting
