A man said my national insurance number was being cancelled becauce it had been used in an illegal transaction.

Anyone reporting this number as dangerous is a Swansea University staff member forwarding their office phone calls to their personal mobile phone, as the calls will appear as if they were from the university when the staff member receives the call. This is a Swansea University switchboard number.

SCAM - pretends to be from Microsoft saying computer has downloaded malicious software. Gets recipient to go to PC. Identifies PC/Mac by asking to describe keyboard. For mac uses Spotlight to launch console - didn’t run with it any further. Caller does know the name accociated with the phone number. Caller has strong asian accent with a regular uk name.

Claim to be from BT regarding my Internet connexion. When I said I am not with BT the Indian voice became very agitated and starting shouting at me as though I am an idiot. I could not understand all he said but he wanted to check my Internet out. Put the phone down. Have had several missed calls from them in the last week.

Disgusting customer service! I have a 2012 vw up and I ve just been insulted with the offer of 500 pounds! They re reason being because there is damage on the back panels, which they already knew about and had already offered me 2100 over the phone. Absolute waste of time all around. SCAM Said they were O2. Very convincing. Sent an OTP, like a fool, I gave it to them. By the time their call ended, and I got through to O2 (max 10 minutes), they’d already changed my email and postal addresses. O2 tell me the only time they will ask for the OTP is when a customer calls them. Looks like I stopped them in time, all details now changed, and security info changed, but be careful people.
