SMS supposedly from ParcelForce "sorry we missed you earlier... " with a link to parcelforce-gb.co/deliver to 'book a redelivery' 1. It arrived at 17:41 today - Sunday, 2. I'm not expecting any parcels 3. The tracking number appended to the link wasn't recognised by the genuine ParcelForce tracking site.

SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.

She repeated that I had registered for financial trade. I told her she did not have permission to call my number again and that the call would be reported as scam to potentially gain personal details and/or defraud of funds. Automated call - recorded message saying was from HMRC and to confirm it's me by pressing 1 otherwise a warrant would be issued and I'd be arrested soon. Ignored as HMRC wouldn't disclose any personal info without first confirming data protection and they wouldn't call on a mobile number either.
