Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!

Call center Pertaining to be from Whoopsie.co.uk. Another boiler maintenance company. They actually seem to be a legitimate firm offering alternative boiler maintenance contract as insurance brokers.. However, I am already with British Gas and have no problems with them and also 7 month left on the contract. Rather pushy sales rep who insinuated I had wasted 20 minutes of her time. In that case, job done at this end I would say.

make sure you report them to the ICO - it only takes a few minutes and if everyone does this these firms will all be closed down

Missed call from someone with an 01582 number. Not on my contact list so no return call made. I expect it's a scam caller thinking I am stupid.
He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. This guy said he was from vancompare who I have actually used before. Quite confusing but almost certainly a scam. The guy was South African

SCAM number showed as 01942794042 however, it was definitely from a call centre and the female voice started the call with "thank-you for connecting with BT" which seemed odd. Turns out it was one of those dodgy activity on your internet connection calls - as usual I denied having and internet connection a mobile phone and even a landline. She gave up in frustration before I did

Loft insulation. Had several phone calls this week from various numbers starting 02033669. I answered this before it went to answer phone (no messages left when connected to it on previous calls) and got a load of waffle about loft insulation problems. This is a naughty one. Someone is using the Motor Insurance Bureau s number to hide their identity. The MIB is the body that coordinates motor vehicle claims in the U.K. If you have not had a vehicle accident don t answer it, or at least ring back later, if you want to.
