I had a call from 0161 524 5263 but the caller rang off before I could get to my phone. Within seconds the phone rang again, this time showing 020 4538 7049. I thought it all must be some sort of scam so didn't answer and no messages were left.

Second call received from this number. The first time they hung up as soon as I answered. The second time, I answered it, the bloke said that they were from "Consumer Helpline ", and "ringing about any finance [I d] taken out in the past ten years and any miss-sold PPI ", as soon as he heard me say that it was an "unsolicited call", and that "I m ex directory", the bloke hung up! Indian scammers now have the facility to send information to your phone that displays a different number to where they are phoning from. Hence this number does not belong to the scum trying to tel me they are from Amazon and have that I have just been charged for an Iphone 7 for £350 which has been deducted from my bank account. Total rubbish of course as they just want you to give them your bank account details.

SCAM - Call centre, once you pick up and speak it goes through to a very busy call centre. Indian sounding gentleman, only knew my first name, I asked who was calling and he claimed "NHS vaccination programme" at which point I told him he was lying and to stop scamming people, he hung up.

I called this number back and they said it was vodafone. He wanted to chat about my contract but got disconnected. I contacted vodafone to check if this number was them and they confirmed that it was a courtesy call from them, so it seemed to be genuine.
