Called me on my direct line at work, said he was from talktalk technical department calling about my computer. As I m sitting in an office with a pc network and an IT department I told him that was rather unlikely and rang off.

I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims. Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.

I often get ppl calls from numbers similar to this. I have registered not to receive on solicited calls but the system doesn't seem to work. Most annoying!
