Scam Possibly not a number I knew. I answered rather cross with just a hello. The caller hung up immediately.

This number has called me 4 times every day for the past week. I have not answered the phone but they are clearly determined to get hold of people. They then leave a voice mail...

Call claiming they are from the AA legal department. All callers have South African accent.

I get this call sometimes 5 times a week, morning 9.30 and 1.00. Do not respond to anyone who calls you, that you do not know... There are plenty of scammers about.

Told me he had detected my wireless connection was slow and they had been monitoring it for two weeks on the DNS server. He said my computer had a virus and needed me to connect to the internet so he could fix it. I told him I was an IT manager and he was talking nonsense and to go forth and multiply. He rang back and replied likewise and called me derogatory names. Don t be fooled by callers from this number telling you your computer has a virus. Hang up!!!

This is the barclaycard team calling about late payments or exceeded credit card limit. If you don t have a barclaycard, somebody has used your number so that they don t get these calls themselves.

They had the cheek to call me again - when I was busy of course - with their wretched recorded message saying it was not too late. I think they can be prosecuted for this harassment and dishonesty, pretending people have claims when they know nothing about whether they have or not, and be heavily fined. I get calls from this mob every few days asking me to call them and quote a reference number. I eventually decided to call them and ask who they were representing - the guy wouldn t say. I didn t quote the ref number as it all sounded way suspicious. I do not owe money to anyone, other than a dodgy parking ticket I got 4 years from a crowd of crooks running a scam in Perth. Any one else get calls due to a parking fine?

A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to Clockwise Credit Union in Leicester.

Please don t phone me ever again. If I wanted cheaper gas and electric myself I would investigate it myself. Cold calls effect me so much emotionally and mentally.
