This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

This is another number used by "Alex from the Solar Centre" It is a SCAM, bot ! A cleverly set up bot that can make some sensible replies to my enquiries. e.g. Q Are you working from home? A < a standard response> Please can you repeat that. But then went back to the same old preamble about 4 free home installations in the Dorset area, which it had said 3 times this week already .Each time I block the number, it pops up from an other one!

SCAM This number looks as if it was local to me, but it was not. Strongly accented lady said she was from Virgin Media about the "poor performance of the internet connection". I told her I knew it was a hoax call and hung up.
SCAM Guy called Daniel Gomes purporting to be from Amazon Prime informing me that someone in Manchester had tried to use my account and they needed to verify my details or my account would be suspended for my protection. I did not supply any information, but was told to think about it and call back on 0208 123 7233 which I certainly did not do. I was called again later and this time I hung up. I have received genuine e-mails from Amazon mentioning this type of scam.

They failed to provide my full name, my address, or any information as to how they got my number other than 'from the government' It's a bit funny because they tried this last month as well off a different number when the government contacted their office to get in contact with me that morning too, they know nothing but your number and partial name

Call received from this number today, 27 February 2023 @ 10:16. I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. Call center Was a very persistent man who spoke so quickly I couldn't understan who he said he worked for (even after I asked him to repeat himself more slowly ) saying he could save me money on my phone mobile phone and constantly asked how much I was paying. Told him I wasn't interested and he continued to ask the same thing. Not told him if I wanted to do something about my phone and bills I would so so myself and he still continued. I eventually hung up on him when he was still asking for how much.
