Male phoned and said he had been tasked with contacting me because I had worked in engineering. When I told him I had never worked in this sector, he closed the call. It is apparent from other messages here that this is a claims management company trawling for possible clients.

SCAM Started with an automated message informing me that two transactions have taken place on a Visa debit card for varying amounts. Press "1" to approve, press "2" if I dont know. Pressed 2 out of curiosity and was transferred to a man asking for the reason of the call. I repeat the message I received and he then repeats the transaction amounts (obviously reading from a script). Asked him which bank this account was associated with (which he obviously doesn't know). An automated voicemail left saying '-of the law suit and legal allegation, for more information press 1, thank you, press 1 now'. The start of the sentence was clearly cut off, so assuming some sort of scam.
This is some type of Pakistani scam through a UK, Manchester prefix. Don't pick up, just block the number and report it if possible.

SCAM. Called me when I answered got an automated message stating that I’m being investigated for tax fraud and to press number 1. If I don’t press number 1 a warrant wil be issued for my arrest. Clearly a scam as no one gets arrested for tax fraud oh and I’m also PAYE! Beware
