This number belongs to a Savings and investment company. Was very bad reception on the call but the company name started with the word Scottish. I couldn t make out the rest.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. I got several calls from this number and last night he left a voicemail message. He wanted to meet up for sex, I have no clue who this person is or how he got my number. He said they got it at a London club but I don t live there or go to nightclubs. Really weird, he called at 11:56pm and again at 00:05am. I ve heard the same number is used for harassing people about porn, parking tickets and many other ridiculous calls.

Yep me too.....I called the number back and some Indian guy said from HMRC asked my name then said “OK I will remove you from list” then hung up!

A man with a strong asian accent called saying that he was from BT and there was a problem with my router. I told him that I would contact BT direct.
