Keeps calling and hanging up.

"Brian" called from this number. He called me last week from a different mobile (which I blocked) introducing himself as "Barry". I recognised his voice and told him to jog on (words to that effect) so he didn t have the opportunity to tell me again that he was calling on behalf of a creditor who was threatening to take legal action regarding insufficient loan repayments. Numerous calls from this number early morning to late asking for someone who has never lived at this address. Will not take verbal confirmation of this and insist on me emailing them. Darn sure they aren t getting my email as well! Now blocked with BT Choose to Refuse Service! Worth every penny.

Scam about washing machine cover - they even passed me to a ?manager? when I said I didn?t have a policy with them! When I asked for proof because I didn?t believe them, they hung up on me! Avoid!

Debt agency trying to get you to use their services to pay off debts you have -which the don t I may add!Guy on other end wouldn t take no for answer so I put phone down and promptly blocked.Really angry as my number is ex directory -avoid this number and any similar as previous comment suggested.

Defo a parking fine scam. I let the call ring to voicemail as I didn t know the number and the message left was a clever automated one that perhaps changes if someone picks up. The message started halfway into a sentence, saying " ...from 2012 so erm the total charge for the ticket including interest is £220, how would you like to pay . Then a silent gap, I assume timed for someone who answered to say something in response. Then him saying "if you don t pay by tomorrow would you like that to happen?" T

Hi I worked for this company. They buy your details from either the blackmarket or datasets where you have opted in. So if you bought something somewhere online that required your number chances are you inadvertently opted in. They use a network of local numbers to seem reputable. The liverpool branch specialises in road traffic accident. They ll fish about for details asking you that they were informed a car accident was reported by your household within the last 2.5-3 years.
