This is a Marketing call they ring then it goes quiet then ring again i had 8 in 1 day!
SCAM number showed as 01942794042 however, it was definitely from a call centre and the female voice started the call with "thank-you for connecting with BT" which seemed odd. Turns out it was one of those dodgy activity on your internet connection calls - as usual I denied having and internet connection a mobile phone and even a landline. She gave up in frustration before I did

SCAM Ignored call. It went to voicemail and an automated voice left a message saying that there had been some suspicious activity on my Amazon account to the amount of £1,400+ and that my account would be locked and I should press 1 or 2 to sort this out. SCAM call asking to speak to a person who doesn't exist at my address - when asked who was calling, he said he was calling about the washing machine warranty that's expired and he was calling to offer a renewal. I asked him what washing machine and he said 'the washing machine manufacturer's warranty - i.e. didn't answer the question. I asked him who the company was and he said PYG - when I said, never heard of them, no such person as you requested and we're on the telephone preference list, he hung up.
