Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. This number is Santander. They contacted me when I tried to make a large transaction via Western Union and needed to confirm it was me. I was successfully able to make the transaction after the call. Very helpful.

Automated, voice-activated call, about the car accident I haven t had.

Answered the phone and got a recorded message (male, English voice) "our records indicate that you were injured in an accident within the last three years, press 5 to speak to an operator". I pressed 5 and initially heard an office environment then was cut off. On ringing back, I heard the ringing tone but it almost instantly changed to an engaged tone. Don t know who this company is, but they need stopping.

Not on contact list, phoned but left no voicemail so I’m assuming this was a nuisance call, if it was a genuine caller they normally leave voicemail, I only pickup calls if they are proven numbers in my contact list.

Several calls from this number. Leave it to answer phone but they never leave a message. As this is a local code to me I think the cold callers are now getting crafty and hoping...
