I had this call yesterday and told them I am not interested in a smart meter. He wanted me to confirm my name and address . They said I won't be contacted anymore. They do announce themselves to contact customers on behalf of EON and are not actually EON.I am sure eon knows about it despite they deny they use such call centres. He laughed down the phone at me and called me ignorant for not wanting to discuss how I could make money. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.

Like other reviewer, I had the same call today from a lady with a very strong accent and could not understand a word she was saying apart from hearing 02. Told her I wasn't with 02, she said you are, (I think). Put the phone down and blocked it. Does make me laugh when these spammers try to tell you, you have a product when you don't, do they really think we are that stupid!!

I received a call from someone who said they were from BT and that they had detected that my BT landline had a low broadband speed... This is unlikely as I don't use BT!!!! This is obviously a scam. Checked the 01322225284 number that came up on my display and found that the caller was phoning from the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Dartford Bridge, UK! Beware, do not give personal or banking details!!!!
