The only thing I understood was the mention of my name and something about a scam ! Couldn't understand who he was or why he was calling due to poor English.
Called me yesterday on different number, now this one, gave the usual ' I don't have a boiler and called them scammers. They obviously have details provided by sse or their boiler service contractors Domestic and General..
My wife took the call and person with a Asian voice started to go on about my council tax and when i asked why he was calling at this time he said it was very important and i told him all government offices are closed and that this is a failed scam and he and his boss must be as thick as hell to call at this time then i put the phone down. Beware its another scam.
A lady called saying she was from Microsoft saying my computer is being hacked. Wanted me to turn on my computer told her no way . I believe this is a scam.

Came up as Mercedes-Benz Commercial, then indian woman offers mobile phone discount
Flagged as scam on Samsung so did not pick up. Have a business phone so would not expect personal life insurance call. Honestly, GDPR was a waste of time, penalising honest businesses but scammers and thiefs are safe? Just don't pick up a number you don't know, why would your Insurance call you? They never do.
My wife answered. Foreign male called asking to speak to XXX. No security questions asked. Claimed he was from Microsoft. When told we were on TPS, he became argumentative. He clearly hadn't heard of TPS. When asked to remove our details from their database he became aggressive and said he would disconnect our phone at our address. He knew our address because he read it out! He then put the phone down when I said in the background we were connecting to the police.
I have no business with dubrovnik or croatia. it rang for about 10 seconds. I didn't answer. could be potentially dangerous...

I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! This number called me and when I answered, the voice from a foreign male person spoke. I advised that they had just called me but they said that had not done so. This was the second time I received a call like this from another number (07565 827573), within 10 minutes of each other. I believe this was a SPOOFING SCAM and advise anyone who receives anything like this to be on your guard and not give ANY personal information away ... not even your name.
