Fraud Got a phone call from this number. I answered the call and nobody answered for about 20 seconds. Then a very thick Indian accent said "Hello, this is Jenny from BT Openreach.....". I replied "No your not...your a scammer" and hung up. I know and live in this dialing code and there are no BT Openreach offices in this area. Given the accent and that it is BT Openreach (which I don't even use) I suspect this is an Indian based scam call centre.

Just had a fun half hour with this bunch, I called them 28 times asking them to stop calling me, they went mental! What a great way to wind someone up who you're sick of getting calls from. In the end they pleaded with me to stop calling them. I suggest everyone who has an all inclusive phone contract, and a few minutes to spare on a train journey or a long car trip, to fight fire with fire - give them a taste of their own tactics. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with pensions, PPI, claims marketing, accident chasers... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Guys did they call you with the same or something new?
