Just got a call from this number asking for someone with the correct surname and initial but different first name. I said they had the wrong number; she then asked me if we lived at an address that I d never heard of; I said no; so she asked me if we lived in an area without mains gas supply; I said no. She thanked me for my help, and that was it. I have no idea what it was all about???

Fraud Scam call - automated voice saying it’s a call from HMRC & threatening that if you disregard it & don’t call back l, you will face the legal consequences.
SCAM Saying they are calling from virgin media, about our slow Internet router. They will proceed to ask you to download a software on your pc and then steal any banking details and passwords. We end up having 10 of these calls a day, it's so frustrating. I end up laughing and saying some choice words or going along pretending I'm doing what they are asking. When I say I'm not with virgin media they switch and say they are an it department for all Internet providers. Do not fall for this!!!

Just had a call from this number claiming to be from my mobile provider. Very aggressive manner, extremely pushy, didn t ask if I had time to speak to them. Wanted to know how many mobile phones were used in my home: tempted to say 126 to annoy him, but quite frankly its none of his business. I am the contract holder and he should have my account information o hand if he is actually working for EE or Orange!!! If these calls don t stop I shall change provider!

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. SCAM / SPAM claimed they were Amazon They had my address details, gave a London Address when asked for their details. Told me a renewal for £<exhorbitant> had been billed. I asked for their real location - gave them various options - they hung up after my third guess. Probably only wanted my credit card details.
Sick to death of these calls ALL DAY EVERY DAY. T.P.S. Waste of time,when oh when is someone or somebody do something about these PARASITES.
