Called pretending to be from BT broadband about an awful virus on my computer about to bring the whole BT network to a grinding halt. Wanted me to give him remote access to computer and hub. BT don t want to know, only thing to do really is to block the number to save any kids or elderly relatives being duped.

Another silent call - hung up after a few seconds. Caller number given as 0001412950066, but seems to be just a Glasgow code with a couple of leading zeros. Reported to Ofcom, as I'm registered with TPS.
Neither do I and they have called two days in a row - always engaged when you ring back!

Claimed to be josh from o2, had some benefits for me being a loyal customer but wanted to do an account review first. Sounded very plausible but thankfully something made me say no. I still received a text with a code to enter to continue to use my account which also says if u didn't authorise this please contact o2. Did so and o2 knew nothing. Disagree with comment from 4/1/17, def has potential to be dangerous Total scam Beware!

I have been getting calls showing the Newquay area code of 01637, from telemarketers for PPI, smart meters, accident claims etc. The caller and the voices in the background are obviously from Newcastle. I used to live in the area I have friends and family
