Claimed to be from BT OpenReach. Explained they were contacting people re internent connection. (1) Was asked if internet speed was okay. Replied upload/download speed fine. Was asked for precise speeds. Said I wasn't in front of a computer but upload/download speed fine. Had to say this three times. (2) Was told my area experiencing slow speeds. Explained internet speed fine. (3) Was told I would be cut off later today. Started to explain I wouldn't and that I didn't take kindly to threats but was cut

Phoned from call center, (I think they were the magazine sellers), they offered me 3 magazines for a good price & said I could pay over the phone. They were very nice at 1st & careful to explain how they wanted my bank details, (not a debit/credit card) & that that is safe, (I discovered that it's true), but they were very, very, insistent, determined & wouldn't take no for an answer! They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. You get robocalls until you pick up from one Bournemouth number, then the next day you get your "local" energy adviser calling you - just got rid at that point so unsure whether a scam, but certainly unsolicited, and since my number is in the TPS database for not getting unsolicited calls, you can bet your life it's a dodgy company not bothered about following the law or regulations.
