People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I believe that the woman asking the question, 'I was informed that you have been involved in a car accident' is a recorded voice which responds to your answers. When I said that she was misinformed another phrase asking for 'the date of the accident', came back and so on until the line went dead. I'm convinced this is a robot! It's irritating at best, but would be upsetting for anyone who had a family member or friend involved in a bad accident.

This number should be a landline from Manchester - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet, but similar numbers of the same range 1618148xxx are always marked as call centre - telemarketing, accident claims or surveys (market research). Does someone have some experience with this one? Nuisance call for me, blocking it now.

Have been getting calls from this number frequently in the last 3 weeks. Never used to answer them. Until I answered it today at 12.40 pm there was a silence for about 5 seconds then a hello Aron it was a friend of mine from Australia! What s the deal with this number and should I be concerned?

Here is additional information. The man said he was speaking for the Energy Care Group. He obviously had some set words to use and could say nothing other than those words. I asked him whether he was speaking on behalf of Ofgem: he laughed.
