Text says that as I am an existing Sky customer they can offer me a chance to reduce my monthly costs. Asks me to call them back. I am not a Sky customer so wont call them. I m putting it down as dubious marketing.

Some called offering to get rid of cold call, automated calls basically every type of call you don t want. For a small fee of ?1.90 per month, they would provide a box to stop the calls. Is it me or shouldn t BT be doing this for free

I just received a call off this number I am on a pre payment deal of just over £60 a fortnight, payment was due today and I always pay online.... But for some reason this Indian guy was trying to put pressure on me to pay over the phone with card details saying I would occur extra charges, he was very intimidating and refused to give his name till I asked about 8 times then I couldn t understand what he was saying.... Friendly woman rang claiming to have talked to me before about solar panels, asked if I had any. Man rang next day offering some energy saving device. Rang back and accused me of being rude when I hung up on him.

First they called tried to confirm that the were speaking to the person they were calling for. Annoyingly they would read back my address. Then they would ask if they could do a short survey. another time they have an Indian accent and sometimes they have an English accent. Sometimes Indian man. The English accent one wanted to know if there was central heating in the house. she went straight into the question despite me telling her she had the wrong name and number.
