SCAMwas phoned by this number at 1.17 pm today. it was a recorded message stating that my Amazon Prime account was about to --at this point i hung up. I rang the number, it was a gentleman who hadn't a clue what was going on and clearly, his number appears to have been taken over without his knowledge. It is a scam pretending to be O2. They got into my account and ordered an iPhone which I didn't ask for. Luckily they didn't manage to change the delivery address and I changed my password on time. O2 confirmed it is a scam.

Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
