Called this number back & she claimed to be from HMRC who apparently have served me with two warrants around miscalculation of Tax. They apparently called at my home on two occasions during lockdown when I was home and not allowed to leave me house. She was very plausible, giving me a name, badge number and warrant ref numbers. Man calling about a medical pendant. May have been harmless but he was very evasive when I asked where he got my phone number (we're not on any lists and don't get cold-called much). He seemed to be reading from a script and looking up the answers, as there were long gaps between my asking a question and his reply. I told him I was going to hang up and did so.

This is a loan scam, they say your accepted for a loan and then ask for an advance fee payment. You never see the loan and they deny they ever spoke to you, let alone give you the money back. Based in Mumbai India.

Left voicemail twice saying from MHRC and was filing law suit. I called back and asked who they were, said his name was Olivier and was case officer at HMRC. Asked him where he was calling from, he said 100 Parliament Street, London. I said I doubted that. He said f**k off motherf**ker and hung up!
