This number called today at 13.01 asking to speak to Mrs Sarah McSherry. Informed her she had died twelve years ago. She apologised and I asked her to remove phone number from their list and she hung up. Number now blocked.

It's a scam offering a discount card for all major supermarkets and once you give your age group they told me I was also eligible for free return flight tickets and a week in a European villa. Catch - needed my 16 digit credit/Debit card number to place a penny charge to authenticate who I was. Needless to say I did not provide.

SCAM!!!! Called me about my Virgin Media internet (I don't have Virgin Media BTW). She asked if she was talking to the account holder. Told her that for security purposes I wanted her to give me a small part of the name or address to make sure it wasn't a scam (which I already knew it was) And she hung up without even saying goodbye! Our number is registered with the TPS. This call came at 09:50 on Monday. Recorded (or synthesised) Northern English (Huddersfield?) male voice. Claimed to be calling from Amazon about illegal/suspicious "activity on your account", as a result of which a charge of over £1,000 to "the card linked to the account" had been stopped. Complete twaddle. I've little doubt that it belongs in the category "Dangerous", but from my personal experience, i
