A foreigner called saying he was from British Gas who handle our Electricity account. Only British Gas doesn't handle our electricity account? I advised him that I suspected he was a scammer. I advised him not to call us again otherwise I would report the number to the Information Commissioners. I then ended the call.
This was a SMS message saying what time my parcel (from Hermes and something I was expecting) would be delivered.

I was called by this number on 4 Oct but it rang off before I could answer. My phone generates a caller list and for this number it was shown as 02070-603887. Normally 0207 or 0208 numbers do NOT have a hyphen inserted in them, therefore I am suspicious of it & have not rung it back.

Had a Call from this number regarding Electrical system Insurance. When I said that I already had it, the female caller responded that it was with them, and because I had not claimed for three years they we going to reduce it from the current £180.00. Appeared as 0800 612 1691 when calling but voicemail header appeared as 01482 380 700. When I called back 0800 number it gave me the option to have my number removed from their call list. No more calls!

My partner wasn't happy to confirm security information for an unsolicited call though and they were happy to end the call requesting we call them.
