In all probability, your PC will not be infected, they are just trying to screw money out of you. They might even attempt to lock you out of your own PC.

I have been harassed by this number for two weeks or more, several times a day and nobody is at the other end.
SCAM ,automated call saying about 2 large payments being held , 1 being for £1000 for Amazon ,. Continues by saying press 1 to authorise. Didn't continue call but presumably will ask for card details to confirm . Rang number back , and number doesn't exist
