SCAM number showed as 01942794042 however, it was definitely from a call centre and the female voice started the call with "thank-you for connecting with BT" which seemed odd. Turns out it was one of those dodgy activity on your internet connection calls - as usual I denied having and internet connection a mobile phone and even a landline. On checking with O2 the above number and caller WAS a genuine call from O2. Apologies O2.
SCAM - they were trying to offer to switch my phone contract to get a new iPhone. I had to ask repeatedly for them to remove me from their calling list before they listened and said goodbye. Number is now blocked.
Unsolicited call - wanted to sell me something to block unsolicited nuisance sales calls. Ironic or what!
