Said they were from BT and phoning about my Internet. When I said I didn't have Internet with them they called me a 'funking liar'.

Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.
