They wanted to speak about a (fictitious) car accident I was involved in. Do not answer!

Called at 6.49 am. As the number was unrecognised I allowed it to go to the answering machine. The call was terminated immediately and no message was left.

I've worked in customer service multiple times, one thing I've been told which is common sense is not to spam our customers with calls, maximum I'd call is 2 times for a single customer then stop. Whoever's number this is has been calling everyday for the past few weeks which is 100% a scam. They claim to be e-on which is fake because their number isn't on e-ons website + they wouldn't be calling everyday. When I said “stop right there, no no no” she shouted at me “you need to listen, I’m from the government “ and then she put the phone down on me!!! Makes me wonder which government!!
