SCAM / SPAM Automated voice said I was being investogated by tax fraud and asked me to press 1 so I hung up and blocked the number, reported it to HMRC.

SCAM Started with an automated message informing me that two transactions have taken place on a Visa debit card for varying amounts. Press "1" to approve, press "2" if I dont know. Pressed 2 out of curiosity and was transferred to a man asking for the reason of the call. I repeat the message I received and he then repeats the transaction amounts (obviously reading from a script). Asked him which bank this account was associated with (which he obviously doesn't know). They phone every three months or so but are quite happy to be told we don t need any wine right now and be given a date to phone again. Nothing aggressive about their sales pitch and every now and again you get a nice free gift or extra bottle. They are the same thing as Sunday Times Wine Club.

Had two or three calls from this number over the past few days; the first time, I googled the number and quickly realised it was a sales call - certainly not from any of my clie...
SCAM I answered as it was a landline (Cambridge location) Automated voice message apparently from HMRC warning of possible tax investigation - then to press 1 to transfer. I hung up at that point so did not hear the other options.
As other comments - missed call from Guy s and St Thomas hospital (London UK), auto message says they ll call again if it s urgent. I was expecting to hear from them, and it s good that they don t leave a message which could be a security issue.
Very suspicious repeat caller. Please investigate them.
Anyone reporting this number as dangerous is a Swansea University staff member forwarding their office phone calls to their personal mobile phone, as the calls will appear as if they were from the university when the staff member receives the call. This is a Swansea University switchboard number.
